Creative Mind Competition

Our local cluster has had a Creative Mind Competition
This competition is to combine local stories, music created by Ilminster Intermediate pupils and
coding or animations.
We learned how to code in Gamefroot.
We really like Gamefroot because it has got icons and media from Aotearoa to use
which go with our local stories.
You can read the details of the competition here.

Matariki

This week in our Cybersmart lesson we read the story of "The Eyes of Tawhirimatea".
We created a GIF in Brush Ninja to tell the story or to show what we know about Matariki.
Do you know what a GIF is and why they are so popular?
You can find out by watching a short video here.

Copyright & Images

This week in our Cybersmart lesson we were thinking about copyright and how images are so easy to copy and paste from the internet.
If we create our own images we own the copyright to them and so we can use them
wherever we want or need to.

Our Digital Footprint

In our Cybersmart lesson this week with Mrs Torrie we were thinking about our digital footprint. Everything we do can be copied, broadcasted, shared and cannot be deleted.
Our digital footprint is permanent and is created by us as we use the internet.

About Me - an Online Profile

This year our Hub is part of The Manaiakalani Programme.
Each week Mrs Torrie comes into our Hub and takes a Cybersmart lesson.
We looked at private and personal information this week and
about the sort of information we can share online.
Following this we created an online profile.
You can read our profiles by clicking n our name in the blog roll in the left hand side bar of this class blog. Please leave a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment.

Nau mai, haere mai
